A place for thingsCompressed wood, paper foil, metal, paper, epoxy putty and enamel paint
H190 x 78 (open 166) x 50 cm 2025 This artwork traces the quiet growth of cabinets over time, echoing the way plants would expand and adapt, as if they grow shelves and door hinges. As they multiply and take on new arrangements, the cabinets suggest a slow, intentional act of settling in. We populate spaces with our things, A cup on a desk, a photo on a shelf - each item quietly marks your presence. Through the arrangement of objects, we assert belonging, identity, and ownership to these spaces. As an object designed to hold other objects, the cabinet is an intention to stay - a domestic infrastructure that reflects both physical accumulation and psychological investment. Over time, it clutters, declutters, changes, rearranges as we would. |
