Belonging

Belonging was installed at C-1 Holland Park, a multigenerational home built in 1960s. This site specific artwork marks the flourishing of the newer household objects that found a way and sought new areas to exist and find belonging among the older aesthetics of the house. Objects such as blue mini guitar, purple scooters, pink and green dresses, toy dinosaurs gave the brick and timber facade splashes of unexpected colours. Inspired by artificial plants, the photographs of those objects are worked into a sculptural form to create a sense of comfort and growth amidst displacement.
