Do You Have A Studio I Can Visit? examines the artist’s journey in seeking spaces to sustain their practice. It envisions a mixed media sculpture of the artist’s studio, complete with tools, materials, and furniture. Atop the working tables are intricately rendered sculptures of other artists’ home-studios, capturing their unique layouts in meticulous detail.
The artwork highlights the challenges, sacrifices, and importance of securing affordable and suitable studio spaces for creative work. By addressing the common inquiry about the existence and accessibility of such spaces, it seeks to foster conversations about the realities of artistic practice in Singapore. |
