Do you have a studio I can visit?

Mixed media sculpture

Picture
do you have a studio I can visit examines the artist’s search for spaces to sustain their practice. It takes the form of a mixed media miniature of my home studio, complete with tools, materials, and furniture. Atop the working tables are intricately rendered sculptures of other artists’ home studios, capturing their unique layouts.

The artwork reflects on the challenges, sacrifices, and importance of securing affordable and suitable studio spaces for creative work. By addressing the common inquiry about the existence and accessibility of such spaces, it seeks to foster conversations about the realities of artistic practice in Singapore.
