Some may like plastic bags for their convenience, while others may dislike them for causing environmental pollution. Kresek, the title of this wordless comic book, means the rustling of plastic bags in Bahasa Indonesia. Presented in a funny and light-hearted nature, this book offers a fresh perspective on plastic bags by giving the common object a face and a personality. Following their earthly adventures, this book records the nuances of how we interact with plastic bags and how they have integrated into our everyday life and culture. While being a source of entertainment, this book hopes to invite people to give the plastic bag more thought and examine its place in today’s cultures.
